1. What is Personal Productivity?
Personal productivity is how efficiently and effectively you can finish
important tasks. It's about:
• Being smart with your time, energy, and focus.
• Getting meaningful work done - not just getting busy.
Some ways to become more productive:
• Have Smart Goals: Know exactly what you are trying to accomplish on a daily,
weekly and longer-term basis. Break
big goals into smaller individual tasks.
• Prioritize Tasks: Do some important tasks earlier in the day, use a
prioritization technique, or perhaps just do three "big tasks" for
the day.
• Be Smart with Your Time: Use time blocking, the Pomodoro Method (25 minutes
on...5-minute break), or establish real deadlines for yourself.
• Stop
Distractions: Turn off notifications, if not necessary; create a quiet area to
work, and do not switch between tasks. Do one task at a time (deep work).
• Look out for your Health: Sleeping, Nutritional, Exercise, and good mental
health practices will enhance your focus and energy.
•
Reflect and Adapt: Spend a few minutes each day or week reflecting what worked
or did not work, and change accordingly going forward.
• Always be Learning: Always find ways to develop more effective skills and
methods of working.
